Greatness Is a Choice

Raised in inner-city Lancaster, PA by a single mother who migrated from Mississippi. His father had a third-grade education from Alabama. At eleven, a mentor believed in him, planting the seed that would grow into his life's work. He went on to earn four degrees, including a doctorate, and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society.

A Life of Service

He worked two jobs for most of his life and retired from UPS after 35 years of service. His career has spanned counselor and case manager for youth, kickboxing instructor and health-club manager, sales representative, HR manager, Direct Support Professional, Director, and Chief Operating Officer in human services.

The Why Behind the Mission

A brother, a promise, and a mission that will not quit.

In 2014, his brother fell ill, was placed in an induced coma, and lost the use of his legs. Dr. Green returned to school that November, earning three degrees in four years, a B.S. in Human Services and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership, and entering his doctorate in 2020.

His brother passed in January 2021. That loss, and the belief that much of the suffering was avoidable, focused his mission on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and on strengthening the systems and people who serve them.

"Infusing hope and transformation, because much of the suffering we accept is actually avoidable."
